Mauro J Girardo
President

Mauro Girardo, P.Eng., CPIM, has 19 years experience in manufacturing environments, including metal fabrication and assembly, plastic molding and assembly, and electrical assembly. He has been involved in all aspects of manufacturing from shop floor supervision, scheduling, maintenance and inventory; with a strong focus on process and productivity improvement.

Mauro has been a member of APICS and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) since 2001. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a BASc in Mechanical Engineering and he is also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).


Mark G Tinkler
Past President

Mark has been a member of APICS since 2001 and is a noted professional within the manufacturing sector. With over 25 years experience in manufacturing, he has worked in various technical and managerial capacities.

He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and holds several ASQ certifications, including the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification. Mark is also a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) where he holds the PMP certification from PMI. His core beliefs are strongly focused on customer centricity, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. Mark can be reached at 416.890.8374.


Branko Tosic
VP Programs, Events & Corporate Relations 

Branko Tosic has over 30 years experience in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

His expertise is in process improvements using state of the art information systems.

Branko has consulted companies in various industries including: - automotives, electronics, food processing, distribution, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and warehousing. His clients range from small and medium enterprises to very large companies operating across North America, and Europe. 

Branko is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Logistics, Transportation and Distriubtion (CLTD).

He has been a volunteer and instructor with APICS Toronto Chapter since 2000.

Branko is recognized by APICS as: - Master Instructor for CPIM and CSCP, Lead Instructor for IDP, and Associate Instructor for CLTD,


Feng Zhi

Marrick E McDonald
VP Marketing 

Marrick McDonald has held a professional membership with APICS since 2011 and achieved his Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation in January of 2013.

Currently the Director of Finance and Administration on the Toronto Chapter Board of Directors, he has held various positions in other board portfolios over the past several years.  Adding to his active participation in the APICS community, Marrick has chosen to pursue formal instructing and is currently an Associate Instructor.  In this pursuit Marrick brings with him over a decade of facilitating on job skill-based training as well as formal coaching and mentoring.  In addition he offers in the classroom his vast experience of real life operations, people and change management.

Professionally, Instilling Excellence in People, Processes and Operations are just some of Marrick’s best mottos.


Chaim Silberstein
VP Membership

Chaim is the president of C.S. Consulting Associates Inc. a Toronto based consulting firm, specializing in providing SCM education, consulting and fitness services.

Chaim is an APICS Master instructor for CPIM, CSCP, and Instructor Development Train The Trainer (TTT) and Learning Dynamics for Instructors (LDI).

He is an acknowledged expert and educator in the field of supply chain management (SCM) and has been speaking at conferences and conducting seminars and education programs for various APICS chapters and corporations around the globe. He also published numerous articles on these subjects.

Chaim possesses a unique combination of hands-on and consulting experience that enables him to provide value added assistance to his clients not only with the principles and techniques but also with the practical application and implementation. He has educated and helped transform many companies and improved their operations efficiencies and bottom line.

Chaim is certified as: Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM), Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), SCOR Professional (SCOR-P) and Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) by APICS.  Jonah by the Goldratt Institute, and as an Older Adult Fitness Specialist (OAS) by CanFitPro.


Karen A Harte
VP Education 

Karen has been a member of APICS since joining the APICS Centennial College Student Chapter in 2007 where she graduated with honours from Business Administration Operations Management. She was a member of the Durham APICS Chapter Board of Directors from 2009 – 2012.

Karen is currently employed as an Inventory Control Associate Sr. in the automotive industry. She has previously worked as a Purchasing Agent and is CSCMP certified with SCMA with whom she is also a member. She is working towards her CPIM designation with APICS.


Jian Zhao
VP Communications 

Emily Jian Zhao has been an APICS member since 2009 and is a Materials Planning Supervisor at a leading public safety company. She has over 16 years experience in manufacturing environments including consumer electronics, automotive, and electrical assembly. She has been involved in product development, engineering services, purchasing, forecasting, scheduling, material planning, and inventory control.


Jean-Noel Li Yam Nam
Director, Marketing 

Jean-Noel Li earned his CSCP back in 2014 and has since been very involved with Apics Toronto Chapter as a professional member and is now serving as a Director of Marketing. Jean-Noel continues to learn and expand his knowledge and talents around supply chain management to better serve and fulfill his professional duties by helping others to grow and deliver great customer satisfaction on the overall. With many years of dedicated manufacturing experience within various fields such as aircraft and toolbox assembly, trucks body upfitting and most recently garment manufacturing, Jean-Noel can help in establishing continuous improvement leadership to achieve targeted and desired results for business growth and sustainability as well as profitability.


Natalie Mask
Director, Education

Natalie is employed at Johnson & Johnson as a Customer Logistics Team Lead in the Medical Device and Diagnostics sector. She has 9 years of experience in the supply chain industry working in Plan, Make, Source and now Deliver. She has a degree in Mechanical Engineering & Management from McMaster University.

Natalie volunteered with APICS Toronto for a year before being appointed to the Chapter Board. She is an active member of J&J's Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI), and enjoys spending time playing volleyball with her husband and walking their dog. 


Sherman Siu Wah Cheung

Sherman is a visionary pioneer and guru in integrated supply chain transformation. He has best-practice knowledge and experience in full-blown supply chain process: CRM, demand management, purchasing, operations/production planning, S&OP, logistics & warehousing, channel distribution, IT application systems, data mining & EIS.
