Summary:

The higher you climb the career ladder, the more crucial your soft skills become. In my presentation I will be talking about these 5 key components of Emotional Intelligence that can make a difference in your career development: self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, empathy and motivation. As a recruitment consultant, I meet and talk to great supply chain and logistics professionals daily. I often see similarities when we discuss careers, lack of growth and motivation. What I find surprising is that well-educated supply chain professionals sometimes underestimate the importance of their ability to influence, negotiate and stay positive under pressure. As a recruiter I am happy to share some insights and lessons that I’ve learned the hard way myself being a Supply Chain Professional previously.
