Presentation Outline

The Demand Planning Organization is pivotal to the S&OP success of every organization that has reached that level of business maturity.

However, the road to trust and equity is fraught with many skirmishes.

Respect/equity is often difficult to attain in an environment where everyone sees the demand plan/forecast as a tool to acquire the scarce resources within the business and demand planning often finds itself at competition with other functions to sway the decision of the CEO towards the number that is chosen as the S&OP estimate.

How then does the demand planning leader & organization successfully capture the voice of the customer in providing an end product that meets the need of the customer, completely and in all ramifications ?

If you love the Food Network Franchise called “CHOPPED” and you love the HOUSE OF QUALITY, you will love this presentation.

The presentation is explained using the chopped food show, how that food competition sometimes mimics what happens in business/organizations between demand planners/managers and those with whom they must compete to have a realistic & unbiased demand plan approved at the executive S&OP and how to attempt building the right equity using the 1st stage of the house of quality.
